There must be a better way for fans to vote.
Fans shouldn't be allowed to vote, or at least our votes shouldn't 100% determine the starters.

Hank Aaron, CY Young, MVP should all be given the same merit.

I agree. MLB doesnít do a very good job of promoting their awards.

Yup. Should be like the nba.

Way i see it set up. Fans should vote for the HR derby. The top two vote getters in each league become the captains who then select their all-star team.

I like the NFL formula, where it's split equally between the fans, coaches and players.

I don't even trust the players. You seen how horrific year after year the top 100 players are? I'd imagine MLB players would follow same suit of just atrocious rankings.

Joey Votto scoops up an easy grounder behind first and bobbles the ball just as he reaches the base. Initially called an out, the call is overturned. Cubs win on a walk off walk.

Freddie Freeman received over 4 million votes, highest of any player.

MLB shop.com has jumped the shark, they've posted the BP jerseys already so some of the reserves are out there- Posey, Albies, Blackmon, Yelich and Scherzer.

Ehh....not a fan of that plan as I'm not so sure the "captain" would pick much better of a team than the fans would. I'd rather have it be some combination of fan vote and stats since the completion of the previous year's All-Star game.

It's crazy to me that he had so many good years in Baltimore and this is his first AS game.
