Game Thread- Mav's vs Knicks: Tank or Tankless

    Dallas Mavericks vs. New York

    vs

The New York Knicks (24-43) look to put an end to their seven-game losing streak when they take on the Dallas Mavericks (21-46) at Madison Square Garden. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, and will air on MSG Network.

The last time the Mavericks played, they were dismantled by the Houston Rockets, 105-82. Dwight Powell led Dallas in scoring with 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting.

The Knicks lost big to the Toronto Raptors in their last contest, 132-106. Toronto out-rebounded New York. The Raptors had 14 offensive rebounds and 52 total rebounds, while the Knicks had eight and 37, respectively. With 25 points on 7-for-17 shooting, Tim Hardaway Jr. was the top scorer from either team.

Dallas could put on a ball-control clinic in this showdown. Dallas ranks third in the NBA at avoiding errors (turnover percentage of 12.2 percent), while New York forces the sixth-fewest turnovers (13.3 percent).

Both teams have had a player take their game to the next level over their last five games. Powell (12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals) has been great for the Mavericks while Hardaway Jr. (20.0 points) has contributed greatly to the Knicks.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. Kristaps Porzingis scored a game-high 29 points in the first game, in which the Knicks, who were 5-point underdogs, defeated the Mavericks 100-96. He also recorded eight rebounds

Hell yes, happy to see him get minutes at PG again. I hope it doesn't only happen when Burke is out though.

I think he's trying too hard to light up the Knicks for passing on him, but he's having a horrendous game in the process.
