    Anyone have Pace's cell number?
Give miami our 4th and get thier third?!! And only have to move down a couple a slots and get Landry. I would do it. Not sure if Miami would.

    Seahawks released CB Richard Sherman.
It's the end of an era in Seattle; Sherman was a three-time first-team All-Pro and picked off 32 passes across seven season. The Legion of Boom is undergoing mass overhaul, losing another one of its key elements. Sherman turns 30 later this month and is coming off a torn Achilles' last season. He's not 100 percent yet and also had surgery to remove a bone spur from his other heel earlier this offseason. Sherman will undoubtedly draw plenty of interest on the open market, but he has his question marks. He's largely played zone defense in Seattle, is coming off a serious injury, and is turning 30. The Patriots reportedly poked around on Sherman in trade talks last offseason and likely will have interest again this year after missing out on Aqib Talib. The Seahawks save $11 million in cap space with this move but have a huge hole in the secondary.
Hes prob too old at the position for a prove it deal, Id rather go after Trumaine Johnson

I'd assume/hope they're working on one with Amos as well.

my understanding was the value difference between 8 and 11 was a 3rd round pick.. I may be wrong...I'd give up the (AZ) pick in the 4th round to make it work. I thought that I had read this discussed somewhere recently.

8th 1400 pts and 105th 84 pts for the 11th 1250 pts and 73rd 225 pts. So only giving up the value of the bottom of 6th round for Landry, I doubt Miami will do that.

This chart is based on all pick for pick trades since the start of the current CBA. Its supposedly pretty similar to what teams use. According to this, it would be a value of an early-mid 5th, which isnt bad, but still probably less than theyd prefer.

Not sure I'm tracking you - Bears picks value 1484 - Miami picks value 1475 so 9 points.
I'm no expert, but that hardly seems like a deal breaker to me.
Now, as to whether Miami is willing to give Landry away for that ... well that absolutely is open for debate.
Again, I just read this stuff, but from what I've read Miami is up against the cap, so they may need to just deal him for the sake of dealing...depending on what they really want in the draft, if he's there at 8, why not?

The problem is that there are teams who will probably be willing to give up a 4th. No one bit with Miami wanting a 2nd, but I'm willing to bet multiple teams would throw a 4th or 5th as long as Landry isn't being super unreasonable in contract demands.

If Landry is asking for crazy money, then you're right, they probably will just end up having to dump him.

Skill-wise, I think Sherman still has it but he makes me leery as hell coming off of any Achilles injury

Not sure how I feel about Sherman either, he'd buy some time but at what cost?

I'd do that on a short contract. The Bears need to win games next year, he would help that happen.

If Sherman can be ready for the start of the season, I think I'd be OK with giving him 3/21 with an out after 2
