Thank you. Not trying to say jay was great by any means. But seriously. Jay lost you some games but he also won some while he was here. Rolling with mccown is rolling with consistant mediocrity at the most important position in the nfl. Not sayong jay wasnt hit or miss but he could at times win some games.

Exactly. Like i said Hypothetically Jay on that super bowl run team maybe we have a chance. However by the time jay got here we lost Berrian and Mouse who were better receivers than anyone other than Johny Knox (who unfortunately was ended short) till 2012 when the bears loaded the offense. And by that time

Sad thing is we gave up on Olsen B4 giving him a QB. And that move looks really bad. But hell its history and Mitch is hopefully the future.

It's gonna happen time and time again if people continue to harp on proven fallacies

For some teams yes. I saw the rams had Jackson already throwing. Have not heard anything from the bears yet.

    Edit

    I found this here

    http://m.chicagobears.com/news/article-1/Important-NFL-offseason-dates/48860ae5-b542-4335-85e4-eaccc8697ffa

"May 4-7 or 11-14: Clubs can hold three-day rookie minicamp."

Since we have heard nothing yet and its already the last day of the first 3 day option. I would guess its the 11th -14th

If Mitch can be a franchise caliber QB then it will surely help. The fact that despite his poor play Jay can be considered the best QB in bears history (and its pretty hard to argue against that) says alot for the bears piss poor history ar QB. If mitch can be better iy easily will whipe hin away.

Or some people are blinded by their like for the guy. Which is weird, because maybe only 5 people in the world like him...his wife may or may not be included.

And yes, I would have kept McCown all day over Jay. Why? 10000x cheaper and outplayed him when he did play. Not to mention, was an infinitely better leader and way more respected in the locker room. The better question is, why would you keep Jay, give him a raise, and get rid of McCown after he outperformed the guy youre keeping? I guess Id have to ask Phil emery that question but his *** got fired and is no longer a GM.

Looking back, you have to admit giving Cutler that big contract was a mistake. I think I defended it at the time as he was and still is STATISTICALLY the best QB the Bears have ever had. McCown outplayed him that year, not sure about the head-to-head stats in the seasons since, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did most of the years since then too. Whatever, doesn't matter anymore...we have a Cutty thread where the pros and cons can be argued in perpetuity if need be. Can we just move, in this thread at least ... please.

I guess it depends on if the thief was able to transfer that data before we wiped it remotely. I don't see it as that big of a deal.
