Also, Wade himself was a solid prospect.

    Geesh.
Wade look s like a good player.

Wade also looks very much like Jake.

Never said he wasn't, I believe he is as well. I think 97% of this forum thinks that. Fact of the matter is, Hes hitting .150 and needs to figure some things out before he gets the call. He looks too anxious in every facet right now. This is almost best case scenario right now.

Now he has time to figure himself out a little bit, the pressure is off him a bit for the time being.

I think bc hes the best defensive infielder in the system coupled with the spring hes having, Its T-Wade's job to lose. My personal thoughts are if Andujar doesn't go North with the team its GD Travesty. Get Drury time at second and Andujar more time at third. Its pretty obvious at this point Miggy can hit.

I'd be cool opening the year with Andujar at 3B, Wade at 2B and then Drury rotating between the 2 spots. Torres/Torreyes/Espinosa/Pederson all in AAA for depth.

Moustakas only got $5.5 with an extra $2.2 if incentives are captured?

Thanks Cashman! We could have swooped in got him real cheap for one year and then probably would have witnessed 45 homeruns from him as a Yankee.

That would be ideal no doubt.

Yeah, what a fool he is. Doesn't he realize that being Yankees GM you must sign every player that becomes available. Some of you people are crazy. You want to see the kids play, but then when it looks like the kids will play, you don't want them. You want a vet. Too funny!!

LOL!!!! I bet you know the Rays opening day. Yankees open March 29th in Toronto. Takes 5 seconds and no effort to look up.

Sheffield bounced to the minors. I had hoped he'd be ready to compete for a spot but nope. He didn't really look close. Maybe the end of the season or hopefully next year. He has the stuff. He just couldn't locate.

I am sure that Cashman knew what the price was on Moustakas and still decided to pass to see what they have in Andujar and now Drury. Not a big loss man.

Gary Sanchez and yanks agree at $620,400, a bargain.

Others agreeing to one-year deals were pitchers Chad Green ($570,800/$229,005), Luis Cessa ($568,925/$171,615), Giovanny Gallegos ($549,575/$144,811), Domingo German ($548,225/$88,900), Ben Heller ($547,475/$96,395) and Jonathan Loaisiga ($545,000/$44,500); infielders Ronald Torreyes ($615,500/$280,950), Gleyber Torres ($545,000/$44,500), Tyler Wade ($551,300/$122,214), Miguel Andujar ($545,800/$88,900) and Thairo Estrada ($545,000/$44,500); and outfielders Clint Frazier ($559,200/$135,943) and Jake Cave ($545,000/$88,900).

Realistically I looked at him more as a next year candidate even though he could debut this year.

We have 5 starters this year with Sevy/Tanaka/Gray/Sabathia/Monty. Behind them I think Adams would be the next guy with Cessa there as well. Then after the year we'll let CC go with the intention of Adams replacing him.

That would put us in a spot for 2019 with Sevy/Tanaka/Gray/Monty/Adams. I think Sheffield would the next guy up then with the intention of us not having to pay to keep Gray after that season.
