Me too....Suh is one of the dirtiest players in the league and I'd prefer not to have to root for him. If we DON'T land Cousins, here are the players I would target with that unspent money:

    QB Teddy Bridgewater
    DT Sheldon Richardson
    WR Eric Decker
    RB Darren Sproles
    OLB Tahir Whitehead
    OG Andrew Norwell
    TE Trey Burton

If we did sign Cousins and a few of the lesser FA's, our offense would look incredible on paper:

    QB Kirk Cousins
    RB Dalvin Cook
3B Darren Sproles (Draft Chubb or Michel if they fall to the 3rd Round)
    WR Stefon Diggs
    WR Adam Thielen
    WR Eric Decker
    TE Kyle Rudolph
TE Trey Burton or Tyler Eifert

That's a lot of weapons. Any chance we could get a 5th Round Pick by trading Treadwell?

We would not be able to afford multiple free agents if we sign Cousins. Trey Burton would never happen after paying Cousins. You want multiple FA then you need to sign a cheaper option like Teddy.

Drew Brees - QB - Saints
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Vikings have "reached out" to free agent Drew Brees.
Brees' situation is becoming more fluid. There's been almost zero belief he could actually leave New Orleans, but we are less than 48 hours from the start of free agency and there's seemingly been zero movement in talks. It makes all the sense in the world for Brees to at least feign interest in other teams as he negotiates with the Saints. It also makes sense for the Vikings, who could be trying to leverage Kirk Cousins.

I you re-read my post, you can see that I mentioned these guys if we DON'T sign Cousins and for the record, I'd gladly sacrifice any of these guys and a player like Barr if it meant we had the chance to sign Cousins.

If we get Cousins I highly doubt we can pull off a trade for him. His cap hits are 14.1, 14.1, 14.1 and 9.5 through 2021.

I thought he was getting cut?

And this is another reason why I donít want cousins.

I really think if we resign teddy and sign such and Matthieu that weíll be good

He was supposedly asked to take a pay cut but things have been quiet since then. Even if he does get cut he's still going to be really expensive. He's still only 25.

Iím glad we aware that a change needs to be made at slot corner. Alexander just isnít the answer and Newman, though still serviceable, is better suited on the outside. Having Rhodes and Waynes on the outside and Newman to back them up would be great for us while having a younger playmaker in the nickel.

#Vikings are expected to ask RB Latavius Murray to take a pay cut, and if he refuses, word is the team will release him. Murray is scheduled to make $5.15 million in base w/ a $6.35 million cap hit
