Really think now is the time to move Mike Green and the dominoes will then fall. Can't risk an injury. The Isles and Lightning really need additional help.

So excited to see Hicketts up. Expecting him to be a work horse but at this point in his career, get exposed. It will take him time to learn the angles at this level and the overall time and speed. Small guys without great skating is a rare thing in this league. I think he will adjust. A guy with his size and skating is Krug, but they're different players. I kind of want to see Hicketts with Green.

I think the best partner for him would be Daley or Jensen....which obviously won't happen.

Im really excited for him too, but I just want a tempered result for his first couple NHL games. Would love to see him add to the team immediately but it probably won't happen. I do think we see his first point tonight though.

Here's hoping Hicketts forces his stay here to be a long one and the Wings are forced to waive someone (Jensen or Ouelett most likely).

Lol I was thinking hey pair him with someone mobile so that if he gets over excited and jumps the rush too much he has a safety net....and Blashill pairs him with Kronwall the least mobile defender we have.....

Hicketts setting up Turgeon for a goal tonight please! Nice to see some of these guys getting the call up (though injuries does play a big factor in that).

Looks like Blash changed his mind at the last minute because the Wings broadcast said its Ericsson-Hicketts.

    Edit: Yep, Big E-Hicketts.

Wooo, Lil Bert with goal #2 for him on the year. Right positioning to clean up the Larkin backhander.

Not sure what Hicketts was doing there, Petr bailed out on that series. Still he has been steady thus far which is good for a rookie.

Thats exactly what I meant by he can be over aggressive....he was going for a strong side pick which didn't work.

That's a goal for Larkin. How is that no goal?

Edit: Good job officials getting the call right.
