Seriously this forum is about using our ability to group people and thoughts in a divisive way

Indeed there are clubs for atheists that express and espouse politicial beliefs, namely that government in specific and the public in general have no right to foist their beliefs into our lives. Clubs also articulate reasons why they don’t believe in God. And in a world filled with theists, they want people to know that it’s ok to not believe in God and to not feel pressured by the majority to believe. You can still enjoy national holidays like Christmas without going to church or professing belief in a Savior, etc. These clubs address behavior, not a system of beliefs.

To be fair, David Silverman’s club, American Atheists, does go as far as to say “There is no God,” a stance I personally am uncomfortable with since that is a claim that takes on a burden of proof.

But we’re not talking about individual clubs but rather atheism as a concept. It encompasses no belief system. You might even say it’s a “non belief” system.

I’ve heard it said, often, that atheism is responsible for much of the horror in our world history, citing as examples dictators like Stalin and Hitler. That’s every bit as accurate as saying people with mustaches are responsible for these horrors. That they were atheists was just as irrelevant as the fact that they wore facial hair.
Why are you bringing Nazis into this. you know those old toys where you would pull a string and the arrow would spin and land on a cow... then the toy would say... "The Cow says... Mooooooooo." That is the end of your post. You trail off into repeating an argument that is irrelevant to the present conversation.

You don't see what I see. But that's fine. I don't need you to.

My post answered your objection to my point that atheism is not a belief system. I’m sorry you didn’t like my explanation.

OK. Athiests gather together as a group and believe the same things ... but yes it in and of itself is not a belief system. Doesn't stop people from behaving (it is all about behavior right ?) like it is.

It’s fair to say atheists share self interests, sure. But they don’t believe the same things, not necessarily anyway. But they do disbelieve the same one single thing.

isn't that in itself hypocritical? The practice that is

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I don't think there is arguing that.
