How many false positives are we going to get on a Cole trade?

Webster baseball offseason definition of imminent -
something one or more eminent writers thought about and discussed as may be possible but not probable, marked as imminent in news articles based on sources of an eminent writer

Per Nightengale they are still engaged but the Astros are still looking elsewhere.

I wonder how much of this is on the Pirates? I'd guess a lot.

If Nightengale is reporting it then they must not be engaged at all anymore and the Astros are looking nowhere.

If the Astros or Yankees are going to pony up for a pitcher, Fullmer makes a lot more sense anyhow.

I really like how the Astros aren't resting on their WS championship, and are looking at making one of these big moves to improve their roster. Keuchel, with Boras as his agent, is likely out of their price range, so securing someone like Cole for the next few seasons would be helpful. They also have to decide what they are going to do with Altuve soon as well.

Why is there so much love for cole? Guy is an average pitcher minus one year when he was really good. If I was either team I would give up a bigger ransom and go after fulmer.
