Kirk is my favorite player in this draft. I think barring a trade down or up though.... He is going to be out of our range. Especially after he blows up the combine and runs a 4.37 or so. For a lomg time he has been my ho to 2nd round WR.

Beat me to it. Gonna sticky it.

Vea and Ferrell are the flavor of the week for me right now.

    Believe in Seth Rollins

I get a Percy Harvin vibe from him. Would be fine with Kirk as the pick but I would still prefer Ridley. Kirk the more exciting pick, but Ridley, imo, is the safer pick.
    Screw sabermetics.

Kirk was super impressive in his bowl game. Would not be surprised if he sneaks past Ridley as the #1 WR by April.

Another WR worth watching is St Brown from ND. He's an intruiging day 2 pick, though he has the potential to go in the late 1st.

I think Denzel Ward will end up being one of the few prospects it comes down to @ 8. Elite potential. A CB duo of Kyle Fuller/Denzel Ward going forward would be ideal.

Quenton Nelson moved up my board yesterday...

It wouldn't be ideal keeping Nelson, Long, and Sitton for a season (then moving on from Sitton after 2018).... but Long/Sitton have durability concerns in the short term.... and long term Nelson is just a monster....

My 1st round board right now looks like:

    Tier 1
    Ridley-WR
    Nelson-OG

    Tier 2:
    Vea-DT
    McGlinchey-OT
    Brown-OT

    Tier 3:
Fitzpatrick-S/CB (lower because I'm not convinced he can be a full time corner)
Ward-CB (Lower because of his height)
Barkley-RB (Lower because it would involve some highly improbable trade on Howard, or an even more run heavy offense than we currently have)

    Not ranked yet:
Any EDGE player without seeing their combines.... SPARQ scores are too important for pass rush

Love Nelson...he's All-Pro caliber from day one and OG is more of a need than some think.

Imagine if Long gets the surgeries he needs and is healthy next year? Our interior would be set for years

Imagine if long doesn't get healthy and sittom regressed. Look im on your side on OG is not a need. You have to bet on these guys to come back healthy strong and better.

But I do get it. We just have far too many larger needs than OG to think that nelson would be a good pick. That and I habe all ways been opposed to OG in the first. Espevially when you see guys like Whitehair and Forrest lamp fall almost every year.

We just have larger needs. OT. Offensive play makers defensive play makers. I think you bet on our interior line.

Maybe, but I don't know if you can ever count on Long being completely healthy again. Sitton missed the last 3 games with an injury and will be 32 at the start of next season.

Ferrell is my guy right now at 8.

FA OLB market this year is bad and the Bears have a hole to fill there. A compliment across the field from Floyd is needed. Chubb would be fine too, but he probably wont make it to 8 (hell Ferrell might not either).

Ferrell seems to have all the qualities you want.

Pick a WR, CB or OL in round 2.

I agree, I am kinda of the mindset Long will never be elite again
