    Potential 2018 Breakout Players?

Which players do you think will have a breakout year next season?

I think Greg Bird will break out for the Yankees. Always had an advanced eye at the plate and that culminated with him getting called up in 2015 where he posted a .871 OPS over 46 games down the stretch.

Then he missed all of 2016. Came back last year and had a DREADFUL 19 game stretch to start the year before going on the DL. He returned in August and played 29 games down the stretch with an OPS of .891. He continued that into the playoffs with an OPS of .938 over the 13 games the Yankees played.

So for this year I'm expecting that the slow start to last year will prove to be the outlier and that he will perform at a level on par with his level of play down the stretch in 2015 and 2017.

Bird is a good option especially if he is going to be hitting between stanton and judge

    Kyle Schwarber-Stays healthy puts up a fullseason . 850-.900OPS
Devon Travis- Remarkably stays healthy and the rest of MLB realizes just how good he is when healthy
Rougned Odor= I guess this is more a rebound than a breakout
Max Kepler= I think there's still more there, a better hit tool than he has shown so far

Andrew Benetiendi is going to be a great player, and I bet we see it this year with a high batting average too.

I see him reaching a potential peak of .340/.420/.550....lots of doubles, singles and walks.

Braves could have a couple rookies who show well in Luiz Gohara and Ronald Acuna. If Ozzie Albies puts up the same numbers he did last year I'd be happy be he can do better as well.

Ya, he came up in 2015 when Teixeira got hurt and performed well. Then missed all of 2016 after shoulder surgery and again missed most of last season with an ankle injury which eventually lead to surgery.
