The deal includes an $18 million signing bonus, while the $14.5 million annual average makes Adams the NFL's fourth-highest paid wide receiver behind only Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, and A.J. Green. Adams was headed for free agency, so this is a nice keep for the Packers. Despite missing three games to injury and playing with Brett Hundley, Adams averaged 63 yards per game in 2017 and is tied with Jimmy Graham for the second-most touchdowns (10) in the league. After a rough start to his career, Adams has developed into an elite run-after-catch and red-zone receiver. Adams turned 25 less than a week ago, so there's still room for growth.

That's what I was going to ask. Maybe both redo their contracts?

What do we do with Montgomery now that Jones and Williams have proven to be solid backs for us?

he will be brought back for camp. his deal is friendly and he knows both positions. barring injury he has to make the roster as a WR.

We will keep 3 rbs anyways. So Monty could still be the 3rd rb. Wouldnít be surprised if they try to groom him to replace Cobb.

This is a solid deal for both Adams and the Packers. Jordy looked lost this season and Cobb was meh as well. Wouldnít care if both were gone

A day after signing wideout Davante Adams to an extension, the Packers have locked up another key impending free agent. The team announced this morning that theyíve signed center Corey Linsley to a contract extension. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network tweets that itís a three-year, $25.5MM deal for the lineman.

Corey Linsley (Vertical)Linsley has started each of the 53 games heís played in since entering the league as a fifth-round pick in 2014. The Ohio State product has played a significant role in the Packersí successful running game in 2017, which ranks fifth in the NFL in yards per carry (4.52). Despite Green Bayís success, Pro Football Focus hasnít been particularly fond of his performance, ranking him 23rd among 37 eligible center candidates. However, over the previous three years, Linsley has earned an above-average grade.

Despite PFFís underwhelming grade, Linsley still earned a relatively lucrative contract extension. The $25.5MM contract value and $8.5MM average annual salary will both rank ninth among centers. With both Linsley and Adams locked up, NFL.comís Ian Rapoport tweets that the Packers will shift their focus to extending quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

    Packers also re-signed Corey Linsley

Linsley is now the 9th highest paid center in football. Seems like a bit of an overpay, but itís hard to lock a guy up a week before he hits the market if you donít overpay.

At the end of the day, linsley and Adams were the two guys we had to get signed from our team in my mind. So itís nice to get them both right away.

Love both signings and their value/cost.

TT has always done well at taking care of our guys and the cap.

Now we just need to start utilizing our talent better and we will go places.
