I think the Padres sign him. Not saying it's a good move, but I think that's where he goes. I think it will be a deal the Padres eventually regret.

I still think Padres. I’d laugh if the Royals re-signed him because by the time they’re ready to compete, he’ll probably be past his prime.

Padres would be the best fit for Hosmer.

They would be doing it for the fans, but.I highly doubt anyone beyond the diehards would be affected by that decision.

I'll add in an option, making it 6/110

Seems like he could turn into the next Sean Casey.... I dont' like the long term of his contract.

3 years 80 mil would be a good one.

I hope not. Hosmer is so over-rated it hurts

I heard the Padres offered him a 7 year deal. I think that report was from Bob Nightendale

And he isn't exactly an upgrade over what we have to justify it.

Our infield is (in order of priority to play)

    1B - Carpenter/Martinez/Gyroko
    2B - Wong/Gyroko/Carpenter
    SS - DeJong/Gyroko
    3B - Gyroko/Carpenter

He isn't exactly an upgrade for us, unless signing him allows us to make a subsequent trade.

I can't imagine the Cardinals seeing him with enough value to sign long term without the AAV dropping. And even then, the pick has historically been of high value to the organization.

Right. It's like he has all the worst sources or he makes it all up

Yeah, I can't see Hosmer going to the Cardinals. It doesn't make sense for them at all right now, and I've never been a fan of making a move, and then following it up with a trade to make room for the player. I wonder if this is Boras trying to drum up more interest.

I heard the Royals offered 7/147...I hope he takes it.

The Royals will be ****ed over with a high payroll for another 5+ years...do it Hosmer, teach these small market teams to stay in their lane.

Dayton Moore would be considered an even ******** GM id that happens
