Overpay to me would be more than $8M annually. I won't speculate too much on the guaranteed money, but I don't think Fuller gets more than 3-4 years, so maybe $15-20M guaranteed? His market value is probably a similar contract to Logan Ryan's, 3/30, $16M gtd and then when you factor in his age, thin DB market, rising cap he's probably getting more than that (guessing 3/33, $18M gtd). I think that's an overpay.

I'm lower on Fuller than most though. He should get more INT's than he does, misses more tackles than he should, and has a tendency to get lost in coverage or be unaware of his assignment. He's fine as your #2, but I don't want to overpay a guy like that. He's generally pretty overrated by this fanbase (not necessarily here, but big time on Twitter and Reddit).

I think some of you seriously over rate him. He is barely a top 60 CB statistically. Yet 7-8 puts him as a top 25 paid CB.
Losing Fuller over 500,000 seems silly to me. If you’ll go as high as 8 mil, might as well go 8.5. “Over paying” by a million or so dollars for a young ascending player at a position of need doesn’t seem too bad.

Their live rankings have Fuller and Callahan tied at 31st with an 82 rating and Prince 37th with an 80.9 rating.

Spotrac has his market value at $9.7M annually, but predict his deal will be close to $12M annually based on his age and similar players signed over the last few years (Trufant, Kirkpatrick, Jenkins).

First i would not personally go 8. I think 7 is fair. 8 is 1 mil overpay. 8.5 is 1.5 over to me. Per year. You can claim its only 500,000 but that money can be used elsewhere. I dont think fuller is irreplaceable. In fact. I think we could pretty easily replace him. With better.

And for all this talk of youth. Who cares. He has not shown he can be consistant. For every positive he seems to play off coverage and give up 15 yard screen pass. Or blows a coverage.

He is not a even a good #2 CB with his 56th overall rank. He is on the lower end. For this talk of youth and potential of one solid year. Morris Claiborne should have gotten 8.5 mil too. He is a guy who showed up in his contract year. Im not giving top 20 CB money to that. Especially when he cant stay consistant.
