BREAKING: According to a source, the Yankees have agreed to a one-year deal with CC Sabathia worth $10 million. The deal is pending a physical.

This is a great deal for yanks. They now have same rotation as last year back. I think this lessens the need and overpay for Cole. They have AAA depth with Adams Abreu and Sheffield.

Well....The Yanks can relax in their quest for a starter. They can now deal on their terms.

CC has been a workhorse. I guess we'll see what's left in the tank. The last two seasons have been good compared to the previous two. He put up a 122 ERA+ in 148 ˛/₃ regular-season innings in 2017 plus a 2.37 ERA in 19 innings over four postseason starts.

Had a feeling this would be the case. Gives us leverage in any deal for a sp now.

An absolute steal, considering how hard it is to acquire reliable starting pitching

when they say '' you never have enough pitching '' they are right

Pretty much last years rotation with Adams and Sheffield in the wings.

Meh I say....Montgomery needs to push towards full time innings. Sabathia better be willing to come out of the pen.

I feel like they aren't done what do you guys think about us possibly trying out a 6 man rotation it helps montys innings since he pitched more than they wanted him 2 it gives cc more rest and allows tanaka to be very effective. I know it could be unlikely but never know

    Rotation is set..

But why did CC get better treatment than Pettitte when he came back to an incentive laden deal?

If CC struggles early they can cut bait and get another starter...

Tanaka should be as good as advertised
    Sevy should improve
    Gray should be sufficient
Monty should be in the 180-200 range
