Richard Sherman out for season - ruptured achilles

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...zona-cardinals

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured Achilles in Thursday night's 22-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Sherman exited the game in the third quarter and did not return. He said he expects to undergo surgery after swelling in the Achilles goes down in the next few days.

"No coming back from that until you get surgery," head coach Pete Carroll said, adding that Sherman "couldn't even walk" after leaving the game and standing on the sideline.

"He's been a bastion of consistency, competitiveness and toughness. We're going to miss the heck out of him."

Sherman said his Achilles has actually been bothering him all season and that he has tried to avoid making any drastic cuts. On the play in which he was hurt, Sherman said the defense was playing Cover 2 and that he was going for an interception.
Season of injuries in the NFL continues.

Good riddance. Can't stand the guy. Wish him a full recovery but the man is beyond obnoxious.

honestly love the guy these days.

    sucks this happened.

Dang that sucks big time for him and the Seahawks. Hope he can recover and still play at a high level.

    Reporter: What happened Dak?

Dak: I don't know, they were everywhere. I'd throw, they would intercept it. I'd try to run, they were right there. I'd look up, there they were. It's not fair. I miss my Zeke, I can't do this without him. They were right, all of them, they were all right. Wentz IS better than me.

So, just to clear things up:

    No more Thursday night games
    No more Sunday day games
    No more Sunday night games
No more non contact drills in practice

    Should work.

This will never happen because of $ but i would be fine with them taking Thursday night games away if you are going to limit contact in practice these guys shouldn't be playing 4 days after Sunday.

I said back when it started that Thursday games should come when both teams are coming off their bye weeks only.

Play Sunday - 11 days off - Play Thursday - 10 days off.

I think players would much prefer that.
