The White Sox have claimed outfielder Daniel Palka from the Twins, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN (via Twitter). He was placed on outright waivers as part of Minnesota’s 40-man roster-trimming efforts.

The Sox get a potent bat. His swing has holes in it and he'll have to tighten them up before he becomes a major league regular. The way he is now, he'll probably strike out half of his plate appearances.

LF is open for the taking. Next year is another developmental year for the Sox so he will have his chance to prove himself.

You think so? I think it's Delmonico's to lose. CF is wide open IMO.

Although I realize we could have Delmonico in the lineup daily while shifting him from LF to 1st to DH.

I like Delmonico, but he hasn't locked up anything. I'm curious to see what he can do over a whole season, but honestly I see him as a 4th OF, platoon guy on a good team, the White Sox in 2019 or 2020.

I agree with some of that, but, think he's way off on other things. I surprised so many think Yolmer is going to be everyday starter. I also think that whoever wins the LF job.....it is only temporary until Jimenez gets called up. I also think we will pick up a FA starter and bullpen arm or two. I don't give Saladino a guaranteed spot either.....
