I felt like this deserved its own thread.

    Ugh.

I expect Jimmy to struggle here like every other mediocre QB we've had the last several years. Hope he proves me wrong, but guess we'll see.

I like what I saw from him when Brady was out. Now we can use our 1st on Barkley lol

Rap is probably somewhere flipping furniture lol. I like the guts to go out and make a move by the FO. He probably doesn't see action till after the bye week.

I just feel like it opens up a lot of avenues for us now. Especially with our 1st rounder. Keep it or trade back. In the games I saw of him I was impressed... it's just NE Qbs scare me lol

Clearly they’d seen enough to know Cj wasn’t the guy

Between this and moving up for Foster, Lynch is not gun shy about moving for someone.

At least not to start, they're cutting Hoyer loose, so CJ is probably our long term backup, which was his typical analysis coming out.

Yeah this isn't the same thing lol. They don't have the cap to franchise him and they aren't gonna pay him the money he'll command as a FA to be a backup for a few more years.

Love this move. Enjoy seeing Shannahan and Lynch being aggressive with these moves as well.
Why in the world is it so important to get the calls right ?

I like the trade as the niners can do what they want with their round pick. How much is Garoppolo going to cost since he is a free agent next year?
