How dare MLBTR write about potential Ozuna suitors when that one guy totally said he wouldn't be traded? It's not even in the name of this threads title for cripes sake!

Not gonna lie, I really want the Cards to land Stanton. I want him and his contract on our team.

Cardinals will be making some sort of a move before November 20th 40 man deadline. They have too many players they need to protect and have been burned the last two years by the Padres snagging players they didn't want to lose. Moz even made a comment to expect a 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 trade prior to that date. You don't usually get quotes like that from executives.

A 3 for 1 for Stanton by the then would be incredible!

Right now, I see 42 players for the Cards that they would want to protect/carry for their 40. So I am curious what they will do.

No. This discussion does not strictly need to be about Stanton, Gordon, Prado and nobody else.

Ozuna is related to the discussion.

Cant wait to see what the marlins get for this much needed sell off. Re-stock the farm system with cheap talent, start investing in the draft and IFA, and then we can actually have a coherent plan and sustainable winning team within 3 years.

    Question:

If Jose Hernandez is still alive, do the Marlins still have this fire sale?

I hope that the Jays get involved. I doubt it. But one can hope.

Sources: In Giancarlo Stanton trade talks, #Marlins have had preliminary communication with #RedSox, #STLCards, #SFGiants, #Phillies. Talks expected to intensify at GM Meetings next week. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Boston is kind of a surprise here. Many of people expected them to go the FA route. I don't think they are the favorites. I think there three most valuable pieces to trade would be Bogaerts, Bradley, and Chavis. They could be the wild card though. Why? Because its Dave ******* Dombrowski. Dealer Dave. How many times have we seen this guy make crazy moves.

Seems like Cards and Giants are the top two landing spots from what Nightengale has said.
