What better to start him now with a bye week to follow. Allows for us to not only evaluate his play but also truly get a feel on how the knee will do. You have to think that the first few days or heck even that next week his knee will be sore.

Also from a business stand point the Vikes really do need a feel on what they will get from him.
I would guess he is still rusty but I would let him be active this week as the back up. If the game does get out of hand then let Teddy close it out and knock off some of that rust.

They announced Keenum as the starter. Your opinion here has been the same one I have had since last week. In a game that could get out of hand, give him the 2nd half and make it like a preaseason game.

Jason McCourtey is listed as doubtful. He's PFF's #3 corner

I'd almost rather they sit unless 100%
We shouldn't need them to beat the Browns. Then gives one more week to fully heal during the bye.

Has Teddy even practiced with contact yet?

I understand everyone's excitement, but pump the brakes a little bit.

Well that's part of the problem, at this point they don't practice full go. QB's never really do.

QBs never get contacted in practice, so no he hasn't. Only way he's going to get contacted is in a game so once they feel like he has his timing down and has the full grasp of the offense, he'll play. Thats why a couple of us have suggested getting him in a half game this week so that he can get a taste of what its like to play again so that he can go full speed after the bye.

That was sad. Everyone knows Cleveland can't pass. There's no excuse letting them be able to get a big run like that.

Pretty rough start. Even if that pass doesn't get batted it gets picked for 6, Treadwell was double covered and 2 yards behind the CB.

Really would like to see Shurmur exploit the depleted browns secondary that is playing 12 yards off the outside WRs. Quick slant screen should be a free 7 yards.
