The Golden Knights are down to their 3rd goaltender, Oscar Dansk, who will be making his first career NHL start tonight. Vegas has been a fun story so far. They have wins over Boston and St. Louis and only the single loss to Detroit. Make that two losses after tonight!

To be fair, how the **** are the knights 7-1.

They may be a playoff contender depending on how long this hot streak lasts- even if they fall of a cliff they'll be in the race for quite a while.

I don't think it's a fluke. They're a really well coached team. Really reliable defensively, their guys compete for pucks all over the ice, and they've got enough guys to finish off plays.

They're a team that has all pieces to win, other than the high end talent. That's why they'll get bounced early in the postseason. But they fight hard. I really enjoy watching them.

I figured they'd be competitive from the get-go. I didn't figure they'd be pacing the NHL to start the season.

Eventually they're going to struggle to score, so I think they'll probably fall to more of a middle of the pack team.

The depth on this team sucks. Lack of offensive depth. Lack of defensive depth.

5-2 Colorado after two periods. They were shutout 7-0 by the Golden Knights last night and are apparently taking out their frustration on a Hawks team that is struggling in their own right. The top 6 just isn't good enough. Saad has been fantastic. Kane is Kane. Toews will struggle to fill the scoresheet at times. Beyond that, it's pretty lousy depth. A rookie, a lot of interchangeable parts, and a lot of guys you're hoping you can get something out of. Not inspiring a lot of confidence in the long-term success of this team.
