Almost Over: San Francisco Giants @ Los Angeles Dodgers - September 22-24

    .........................

SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (60-93) @ LOS ANGELES DODGERS (97-56)

    DODGER STADIUM

    Game 1: Friday, September 22nd @ 7:10 PM

    VS.
    Jeff Samardzija..........Rich Hill

    Code:
                                Samardzija Hill
                                30 Starts 23
                                9 Wins 10
                                14 Losses 8
                                4.42 ERA 3.60
                                1.14 WHIP 1.13
                                197.1 IP 122.2
                                197 K's 147
                                29 BB's 46

    Scouting Report:
Giants: Under this year’s circumstances, the Giants’ 13-17 record in Samardzija’s starts is admirable. The 14 losses he has personally absorbed are a career high.

Dodgers: Hill was solid last time out in Washington and was removed for a pinch-hitter after five innings of one-hit, one-run ball because manager Dave Roberts was trying to tack on some runs.

    Game 2: Saturday, September 23rd @ 6:10 PM

    VS.
    Madison Bumgarner......Hyun-Jin Ryu

    Code:
                                Bumgarner Ryu
                                16 Starts 22 (23 Games)
                                3 Wins 5
                                9 Losses 7
                                3.48 ERA 3.46
                                1.11 WHIP 1.33
                                103.1 IP 122.1
                                96 K's 114
                                19 BB's 44

    Scouting Report:
Giants: The two-run, first-inning homer that Arizona’s Paul Goldschmidt hit off Bumgarner in his last start was somewhat unusual. Bumgarner’s first-inning ERA this year is a respectable 2.81.

Dodgers: Ryu’s October role is a real unknown because of the surplus of starters. Manager Dave Roberts said he wants to see Ryu come out of the bullpen after this start, even though the club is uncertain if he can warm up quickly.

    Game 3: Sunday, September 24th @ 1:10 PM

    VS.
    Chris Stratton..........Clayton Kershaw

    Code:
                                Stratton Kershaw
                                8* Starts 25
                                3 Wins 17
                                3 Losses 4
                                3.94 ERA 2.26
                                1.48 WHIP 0.93
                                48.0 IP 163.0
                                42 K's 194
                                24 BB's 30
                                *11 Games

    Scouting Report:
Giants: This will be Stratton’s Dodger Stadium debut. He has thrived when paired with catcher Nick Hundley, who has guided him to a 2.61 ERA in eight games. Stratton’s ERA with Buster Posey is 9.75.

Dodgers: Kershaw makes a start more significant than one would expect considering the team’s situation, because of the grand slam he allowed in Philadelphia and the need to show he’s playoff ready.

Stratton better than Cueto, amirite? Regardless, this team sucks regardless of what part of the rotation is due to pitch.

It's either gotta be NBC or NBC Sports Bay Area. Usually Friday night's are on NBC.

Every time I see Buster Posey playing 1B, he reminds me of JT Snow.

Lol. On a sad note, I'm sorry about the death of Frank Vincent. Maybe he'll have some shines in his shoebox in the afterlife.
