Warthen: "Bases are loaded, skip. Matt's done."

Collins: "Better bring in Robles. He'll get us out of this mess."

    [three batters later]

Warthen: "Well that blew up in our faces. As expected."

Collins: "What are you talking about? The bases aren't loaded anymore, are they?"

Must Robles point up to the sky on every pop up?

Must we really be talking about Shohei Otani. As if the Mets have a chance to bring him in with their whole cutting payroll game plan. This is torture to broadcast this out to Mets fans.

I don't think so. We've been this bad before but never going into a season filled with such high expectations

This has been the same thing with Harvey the last 2 seasons. He has no command of anything he throws, has lost velocity, is not missing bats and is consistently giving up hard contact.

I don't know if a contract year is going to change anything. I know the Mets don't want to give up on him but I would honestly consider not offering him arbitration next year.

    Yes, have to agree.

That's what makes this year so much more frustrating.

But, the minor league talent brought up, with a few exceptions, is putrid.

I wonder how Scott Boras will spin Harvey a new contract with the way he's been pitching.
