New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays Sept 11, 12, 13. IGT

New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
Monday, September 11, 7:10 PM ET , Citi Field
    CC Sabathia, LHP

Sabathia cut down on walks in his last start, issuing just one free pass after walking five batters in his previous outing. However, the Orioles lit him up for five runs on eight hits, three of which were homers.

    Jake Odorizzi, RHP

Odorizzi had a no-hit bid for 6 1/3 innings vs. the Twins Tuesday, which Joe Mauer broke up with a single. It matched the longest no-hit bid of his career and was his first scoreless start of at least 6 2/3 innings since July 29, 2016, vs. the Yanks.

    Sonny Gray, RHP

Gray shut the Orioles out on Thursday, the first time he's held an opponent scoreless and just the second time he's allowed fewer than two runs in a start since being traded from the A's to the Yankees.

    Blake Snell, LHP

Snell did not feel like he was using his fastball as well as he wanted in Wednesday’s no-decision against the Twins. He lasted just four innings, snapping a career-long streak of five straight starts of 6 IP or longer.

Wednesday, September 13, 1:10 PM ET , Citi Field

    Jaime Garcia, LHP

Garcia hasn't pitched since Aug. 30 after having his turn in the rotation skipped. In that start against the Indians, he allowed just one run on six hits over five innings.

    Chris Archer, RHP

Archer had a perplexing start Friday when he took the loss vs. the Red Sox, who scored eight runs despite the righty showing a quality fastball and breaking ball. For his three-plus innings, Archer allowed 11 of the 20 Sox he faced to reach base.

I guess moving the games to Citi Field makes sense considering the Yankees are the home team in Tampa as well. Might as well give the Yankees the home uniforms though, even though they are technically not allowed to be the home team.

I wonder how full the stadium will be? I think Wilpon would shart with rage if somehow the games sold out.

If it were a weekend game, I'd go. I bet it would have sold out. Too bad Mon to Wed will probably net about 10 thousand or so, which would still be a good amount in another stadium.

Ya Citi Field is really nice. Went to one game there when I lived in CT. Beautiful stadium.

I just read that they are expecting him 2 miss the next 2 games with back spasms. I can see giving him a shot next yr again when he healthy but they better have a strong backup plan because Bird seems to have a very hard time staying healthy

Over the winter i'd work with Andujar at 1st, he has the bat to play first, maybe he becomes better defensively on that corner.
