Not everyone has conversations with their "magical pocket device" clay.

And try to tone it down - this is a family forum.

    Don't worry. He's got this.

    Well played.

Moustakas would be such a foolish move for the Mets.
Suarez or Donaldson would be the move for me.

Both have the ability to get on base, Moustakas...not so much.

I wouldn't be upset if they signed Moose but I think they should look elsewhere as well. His price will be too much for the Wilpons pockets.

Cabrera is our 3B for 2018.

    I'd be shocked otherwise.

Suarez would be a far worse move. He has horrendous home/away splits and was a mediocre player for years up until this point. I'll pass.

Donaldson should be our main priority at this point.

Donaldson is not a free agent until 2019.

I don't want to move what little prospects we have in the pipeline for a 31 year old.

Moustakas only costs money, and as a NY team, theoretically at least we should have that.

Suarez is a HORRIBLE option. Bad away splits and HORRID stats in Citi (granted, small sample size), plus again, he would not be a free agent until 2021, so the prospect cost would be prohibitive. HARD pass on him.

Suarez would be an outstanding option for 3rd base if we could get him. The guy is 26 and has a cerebral approach to hitting that reminds me of Beltran. He's improving as a hitter and I can see him being a top 10 bat in the league in the next few years.

I wonder what he'd cost. What do you think clay?

    Don't worry. He's got this.

With Senzel coming up they would have to move him. Lagares plus money and Dunn/Lugo, I'm not really sure.
The Mets have so many players with very little value.

Moustakas would cost a 2nd rounder and money towards the draft and IFA. In a strong draft next year, that money could be well spent.

Suarez is a solid defensive 3rd baseman having 7 DRS this year, Moustakas has -7 DRS.

    Moustakas alert!

Take it for what it is worth. This just in.

Just spoke to a patient at my Mom's dialysis center a short time ago, who's a rabid Mets fans. His girlfriend's girlfriend is the girlfriend of Mike Moustakas. According to Moustakas' GF his first preference is to sign with the Mets in the off-season as he knows the Royals won't pony up for the money.

I'll find out more info as things develop. We'll see.

What makes him so sure the Mets will pony up the money? Does he not realize we operate like the Royals..
