    Pablo Sandoval chasing 0-for history

Zero for his last 38 ABs (39 PA)

MLB record for a non-pitcher is 46 held by Eugenio Velez

He only PH tonight and struck out but he was hitless in his last 10 games started

What the F happened to this guy? He was always horribly out of shape, his always awful plate discipline stats haven't changed that drastically from the days he was mashing... his contact has dropped a few points but is still in respectable high 70s range. He is TOAST.

I would like to know how many pitchers have had hits since Pablo last had one (8/25)

He doesn't care. He's still getting paid millions by the Red Sox lol. He's probably the worst player in baseball... not an exaggeration, literally the worst player in the league lol

JJ Hardy was giving him a run for his money when he was still a regular SS earlier this year

Redundant, but hoping he breaks Lester's 0-66 streak.

Ben Lively, Travis Wood (2), Gerritt Cole, Stephen Strasburg, Madison Bumgarner, Clayton Richard have all hit a homerun since 08/24/2017, Pablo hasn't hit one since 08/13/2017. 45 pitchers have at least one hit since 08/24/2017.

That's actually a pretty good average for pitchers, then. Figuring like 3 pitcher ABs/game, 7 games/day in an NL park, round numbers 150 ABs a week? So 300ish since 8/24?

He got paid and he stopped caring. It's as simple as that. He left a perennial WS contender where he was a huge fan favourite to get his pay cheque. He already has a ring and he's lucky because he probably couldn't fit another one on any of his fingers now.

Dude is done. Just collecting his paychecks.

Glad this is happening now, hopefully enough to show Giants management that the guy is absolutely done and don't bring him back next year.

Based on how they handled your namesake, I think we're going to see Pablo next year at least, though maybe after a few months they'll admit he's done.

Yeah, I think he sticks around in a bench capacity if nothing else.
