Fat oaf CC wouldn't have complained if someone dropped a bag of Cheetos. Hope teams drop bunts on him all day long until he collapses from exhaustion.

He had every right to complain, it broke up his no-hitter!
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

The game was close, bunting is a big part of Nunez' game and the Red Sox needed baserunners. CC has to be able to field his position or hitters will bunt on him regularly.

Really? Assuming you are a Yankee fan? A batters job is to get on base however the need to do it. Field the position and people won't do it.

The bunt was in the first inning. SiteWolf was being sarcastic.

    Bunting is for *****es.

Honestly wish they would do away with it in the NL all together.

I'm not a fan of bunting, typically, especially when doing it to sacrifice. But if the batter is fast, can drop a good bunt, and think he can get on for a hit, then I don't have a problem with that.

Replace "bunting" with "pitchers hitting" and I would agree with this statement.

I agree with both of you.

Bunting just bothers me, you're giving the other person an out. Bunting with 1 out IMO is the dumbest thing ever, not a lot of players do well in the "clutch"

bunting is part of hitting and part of baseball. it's perfectly fine to bunt. it's not being scared. it's being smart and getting on base to create runs and win ball games.

In fact i think players don't bunt enough.

The only exception is bunting with a perfect game or no hitter on the line. then that's bs.

CC needs to sack up. If I'm a hitter and I know a pitcher's weakness i'm going to take full advantage.

Why? I don't see anything wrong with that at all. The hitters job is to try and get on base however possible. I see nothing wrong with a guy trying to bunt to get a base hit. No team wants to be no hit. That is such a ridiculous unwritten rule.

Agreed. If the other team doesn't like it, oh I don't know, maybe they should prepare for the bunt or at least have it in the back of their mind.
