Nets 2018 1st NOW belongs to Cleveland

In a trade that has seen Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving swap places, Boston has traded away the Nets pick in the package deal.

I've heard differing thoughts on who "won" this trade but I think Cleveland won in a landslide. Thomas provided nearly all of the offense that Irving did last year and the Celtics have now lost Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder who were both important parts of their defense. The guys replacing them will likely be Tatum and Hayward, and neither is known for their defense. If Lebron is really leaving the Cavs can let Thomas walk too and still have the Nets pick to start the rebuild. Or they can flip the Nets pick and Kevin Love to get someone that Lebron will stick around to play next to.
