He's kind of like that Yankees pitcher that lost a no-hitter. I can't remember his name, but that actually happened.

Even if he got through the 10th inning, the score would have still been tied. Then, the Dodgers would have to have scored in the top of the 11th and he would have to get through the eleventh to get the no hitter at the earliest.

Could Bird or Castro be back tomorrow? Girardi: "Anything’s possible." added: "You very well could see someone tomorrow."

    T. Frazier (32-games with NYY): 0.231 BA|106 wRC+|5 HR & 18 RBI|0.4 fWAR

Frazier has not been amazing, but he is doing fine. Basically what was to be expected from him.

Bird should take his time; we need him long-term.
We’re pointing out that these statistics breed false narratives, and we value the truth. This isn’t about replacing old numbers with new numbers, or attempting to dissuade anyone from enjoying the aesthetics of the game. It is simply about telling the average fan about the reality of what actually happened on the field. The “Holy Trinity” of baseball statistics fail at this most basic task, and so they are not worth deifying any longer. - Dave Cameron
