Going to be a very tough series. I think we can manage GM 4. We could possibly squeeze out 2 out of the 4 if we score more runs tonight.

We may have the 3rd best bullpen in terms of era but that's only because of kimbrel. How many times is barnes and hembree going to give up walks and runs to blow these games?

Plus Holt has no business being on this team, he has no offense and defense is average at best. Not saying that just because of last night but he's weak, not to mention he got thrown out after getting a good start and running on a curveball the other day.

Can't wait for the Sept call ups. Rusney is heating up in AAA. Smith looking good. Should be interesting for call ups. I don't see Holt on the roster when the Sept call ups. Sadly Holt has not been the same since his vertigo

Same here. Might be a good thing that Barnes went on the DL. Hector pitched well for us when he was up last time around IIRC

I don't think Rusney is on the 40-man roster, and I kind of doubt he will be considering his contract.

    Great game from Fister.

The two-seamer he just struck out Zimmer with was filthy. Started out inside and cut back sharply towards the plate at 90mph. That was beautiful.

I thought finally the pen was Farrell-proof.... not the other night. Not wanting to see the Indians in the playoffs - at all.

Jf proves us right again. Why replace Kelly in the 7th with 2 outs with reed? Makes no sense to me.

Hanley Ramirez gets the golden sombrero tonight.
He's hitting .228/.317/.423 in the second half
And he's still our clean up hitter as a DH

Which one of these things doesn't belong?

That's a silly statement. As good as Kimbrel has been, his 53IP this year are dwarfed by the cumulative innings thrown by Abad, Barnes, Boyer, Hembree, Kelly, ’Ramirez, Reed, Scott, Taylor, and Workman. They have the third best BP ERA because they have 7RP with at least 25IP and an ERA below 3.60.

Barnes, Hembree, and Kimbrel are among the MLB leaders in IP by a RP this year. Kelly would be, too, considering how close he is to those guys and the amount of time he's missed. It's going to catch up to them if it hasn't already.

We are a stacked team right now. Very much a big if, but still have Price, Pedroia, Smith possibly coming back.

Barnes should only be a 5th/6th inning guy. He is awful is high leverage situations.

    I am okay with a Kelly-Reed-Kimbrell 7-8-9.
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all

2 straight wins against CLE. A tough team. I'm really starting to think things are clicking for the Sox's now. Now lets go for the sweep tomorrow!

When Pedroia and JBJ return, this would be my lineup...

    Eduardo Nuñez DH
    Dustin Pedroia 2B
    Andrew Benintendi LF
    Mookie Betts RF
    Rafael Devers 3B
    Xander Bogaerts SS
    Mitch Moreland 1B
    Jackie Bradley Jr. CF

And whoever is catching bats 9th.

Hanley goes to the bench and plays strictly when it's a LHP.

It's going to be tough to sweep... since they lost game 1

Should have been a sweep but we got Farrell'd in game 1.
