I read a very good article on Hillary's strategy for the campaign and her not going to the Rust Belt was a conscious decision on her campaign's part because her economic message wasn't resonating and polling showed that she was actually causing more people to dislike her than like her when she went there.

Had she gone and campaigned in the rust belt, it's likely she still loses.

If so, I don't think that can be attributed to the DNC. They could have tried to adjust the message and/or economic plan.

I'm happy to see her publicly support it. The crowd I follow seems to be pleased too. All that nonsense about leftists being unfair to her (let alone the idiotic charges or racism and sexism) conflated the fact that every single leftist I know and follow would greatly prefer Harris over Biden, Cuomo, Zuckerburg, etc. This certainly helps, and they're happy to see it.

However, I don't know why you demand that people jump completely on board with a potential candidate 3+ years before the election and pretend like said candidate is 100% flawless and perfect. It's incredibly important for this dialog, debate and criticism happen and hopefully lead to the best candidate getting a fair shot to come out of the primary.

After Hillary, I don't get why any Democrat, even centrists, would want any candidate forced and ramrodded to a primary win. Let all this stuff play out.

And she deserves credit for getting for her own decision to sponsor it...but the push from the left certainly didn't hurt. And this is not the ONLY "purity test" the left has. There are still questions and concerns -- and while there are fewer with her than most, that doesn't mean people can't talk about it and pressure her on them.

I think Biden will definitely run. As of now I would consider him the frontrunner.

More democrats are coming around to single payer. The big names/2020 candidates especially. In happy to see it...but it reminds me of 2008 when centrists came around on Iraq but quickly abandoned it when it was actually time for action. I hope they truly do support and want to fight for it...but I'm skeptical. Either way, I'm happy that its popular enough to be forcing these people to publicly support it

Plenty of others sound steadfast against it. Like Tim Kaine, who just wants more market competition. "Hmmm...I'm excited to shop around. I'm a single mom barely making ends meet, do I want this plan with a $6000 deductible that I can't afford it this one with a $5800 deductible that I can't afford!? Boy, this free market sure is nice!"

We're still forever away from it happening, but I think this is a good start.

Liz Warren supports single payer as well. Go Liz and Joe Kennedy Jr in 2020 and this is a winning ticket.

I think this is an entirely political move, she didn't campaign on this at all which makes me very skeptical, also, she refused to prosecute her donors when she was AG of California.
She seems like such a corp.

Liz Warren also just supported a 20% increase to U.S. Military Spending.

I mean, you technically can't have both on the same ticket as they're from the same state but I really like Kennedy as my congressman.

Why do we want Joe Kennedy III as a VP? What is he besides a name?
