Pat may just settle for a team that makes the playoffs, easier to do in the East, and call it quits. If the Heat miss the playoffs 2 years in a row that's the excuse to blow it up if Mickey wants. Need draft picks though.

I don't see Dragic getting moved just because he is on a dirt cheap contract and is the most consistent player.

PG ain't happening. He already made it very clear he's going to the Lakers. They got fined for tampering for the whole thing, remember!?

    Roster Speculation Thread XX

Why not take the chance on PG tho?

Even if you just have a 10% chance of getting him to stay

What are you losing in a PG trade? Winslow and a mustard sandwich?

    Winslow sucks anyway

    Go for it

It won't make sense, unless Pat can add another star alongside PG; to show him that, look, you have a contender in the East.

Then take the risk on Cousins to

    Cause I go back to

If they leave who cares...we're bad anyway

Take your shot on the star rentals

    Dragic/J Rich/PG/Bam/Cousins

Is fun and can obviously compete in the east

PG prolly cost you Winslow and cap filler

Cousins prolly cost you Whiteside and JJ

so bench is still pretty solid to

Kemba Walker & PG then. Kemba can take the big shots and PG can do what he do. Both players will make Whiteside look good on easy dishes.

    Walker
    Ellington
    PG
    JJ
    Whiteside

But of course we need a Super Star, so I would want this below LOL

    Traded:

Whiteside, JJ, Waiters, Tj, J Rich or Ellington, Dragic, KO, Winslow, White

AD: Whiteside, Waiters, JJ, KO, White
PG: Winslow, J Rich or Ellington,
Walker: Goran (sent somewhere else for picks or young players), Tj

    Walker
    Ellington or J Rich
    PG
    AD
    Bam

The chance was already taken, by OKC. I don't think it's wise to double down on someone else's bet.

Just read this about Portlandís owner wondering why the team is struggling. Not saying anything will happen. Just saying that this maybe something to keep our eye on.

Looks like Reggie Jackson is out for 2 months. Could be an opportunity to trade Dragic to Detroit for a 2018 first, Stanley Johnson, and another contract?

Not NBA 2k18 here. Miamiís stuff is mediocre talent on overpaid contracts. Will take a lot to clean up Rileyís spending spree.

OKC was never going to get him to resign tho

He wanted to be in a big crazy city

He ended up going from Indiana to a different version of Indiana lol

He wants to be in his hometown. If OKC can't convince him to stay with Westbrook, the Heat have no one on the roster that would entice him.

Why would he stay in Miami to Not win a ring when he could go where hes been wanting to go and that's home to L.A to Not win a ring.

Miami has started the season the same as the last with all of these injuries to key players and yet they are 2 games over 500. You're seeing Adabayo coming into his own producing while setting screens and assisting way better than Whiteside. Josh Richardson can very well be the Heats best player defensively and offensively by seasons end. We have starters that will be expendable soon and hopefully used to get the parts that they need and maybe the star that they need.

Some on here need to really look into whats going on and have perspective. The season so far has been up and down but hasn't been as bad as some suggest.

Unless we trade for (cough) Cousins. I know this is all speculation and wishful thinking but I know that this is not the HEAT way. Pat has to be pulling his last bit of hair he has on top of his head. Some fans and players feel like making the playoffs would be a success for this team and rightfully so because this team is no where near to contend for a championship.....BUT I know that Pat and spoiled fans like myself likes to be in the playoffs every year and competing for a ring. They have to make a move this year in my opinion because next year all these big names are going to end up either at their hometown, with friends, or the team thatís is willling to spend a lot of money on one player. Unfortunately the Heat are married to waiters for this year and next. We can only trade players that we are showcasing. So I am hoping we have enough to make some trades and can convince some of these players to resign. I rather take that chance than staying mediocre and trying to make the playoffs.
