Raptors would never do that and we would have to add...we are a team that shouldn't give away assets when we are already depleted with draft picks.

Joe Harris for Ryan Anderson +

Makes a lot more sense, and I would be all for that. Ryan Anderson is a poor man's Kevin Love.

Plus we would be able to get 2 draft picks....or a pick plus young player.

Raptors trying to dump Jonas. They'd have to add something to the deal.

Anderson would add too much to Nets cap. And would hate helping Knicks make 'Melo deal.

Get your feelings out of it. Ryan Anderson is the better fit than Jonas. This team needs a stretch 4 in the worst way. Nicolson might be able to be that for us this or maybe Acy. We took all of the Raptors assets from the Carroll trade that I would want in a deal so the 4 team trade is way more appealing

Yeah, Ryan proved what he was worth in the '17 playoffs.

    Nets are weak at Center.

    And Raptors have future assets.

At one time in our past, Nets had INCREDIBLE future assets.

If you wanna compare Ryan Anderson and Jonas....Jonas can't even stay on the court...Jonas is gonna fix our "Weak at Center" problem. You don't take cap dumps and think the problem is solved. There is a reason why the contracts want to be taken off the books and are willing to give up assets to do so. Ryan Anderson would be the "perfect fit" cap dump. We are fine at Center for a rebuilding team. All of the teams that are great at the Center position...are lottery teams or teams that don't matter. Look at San Antonio, Golden State, and Cleveland...all could use some help at Center.

We just watched Ryan die in the playoffs. And that friggin' salary.

Jonas doesn't 'fix' our Center problem, but it gives a Center who can rebound and has an offensive game.

But it doesn't matter, Raptors say they are holding on to Jonas.

Not a fan of the contract Ryan Anderson is on. If there were two years left on the deal then it might be different, but I don't see the assets the Rockets or Knicks can attach to make it worth losing that much cap space.
Milwaukee was rumored to be interested in Derrick Rose earlier in the offseason. How about Lin, RHJ and Nicholson for Jabari Parker and John Henson.
Milwaukee turns Henson's three years and ten million per into Nicholson's three years and six million per. They get Lin who is a lot beter than Rose. RHJ fits the kind of long, athletic player they seem to like, and they might not want to pay Parker long term.

Milwaukee hangs up laughing. RHJ is no where near in value of Jabari Parker even if we take on Henson's contract.

We are in cap hell for the next 3-4 years so who cares about the cap number of Ryan Anderson? He's a way better fit than Jonas plus we can easily get more picks and assets from Rockets. We already got the obtainable assets with the Carroll trade. Rockets can offer us future first round picks that could turn out to be gold similar to the trade that screwed us with the Celtics. That team rests on James Harden, if he gets traded than the pick will be lottery. No one thought Kyrie will get traded

The one thing the Nets are not in is salary cap hell. Even with taking on Carroll and Mozgov they still have close to $20 million in space. And that's before Booker's $9 million expires this year, pretty much all of the small salary guys Marks signed (Acy, Skil, Harris, Goodwin) expire, and Lin has his opt out after this season. Taking on Ryan Anderson's contract severly limits Marks options when it comes to taking on a salary dump in a trade or signing a player to a significant contract.

I assume if the Bucks had interest in Derrick Rose they would definitely have interest in Lin, who is better, healthier, and likely cheaper. They save a ton of money on Henson's atrocious deal that they are trying to rid themselves of, and they pick up Rondae who is still cheap and likely a lot easier to re-sign than Parker. How far off is that from the Brook D-Lo trade?
Are they looking to rid themselves of Jabari? Obviously not. But it's not an awful opening bid to try to get him. I'd rather the Nets trade a couple pieces to lock him up than have him sign an offer sheet with Brooklyn only to have Milwaukee match a week later. Again.

I'd take Jonas over Anderson based on contract and the fact that Jonas can give you 13/11 and a block or 2 a game. Anderson comes off the bench, offers no D, and is streaky.
