    Let's give George some credit

With the 30/30 Mike and The Mad Dog on ESPN this past week I decided to go to UTube and listen to some old shows with regards to the Yankees...

Of course I listened to the day after of the Boone HR in 2003 and then the 2004 collapse to the RedSox which were good shows...

I then came across a show from 1990.....

It was an interview of George Steinbrenner and the state of the Yankees....At the time of the interview the Yankees were 27-42 and floundering.....

Mike and thenMad Dog basically ripped George right in front of him telling how bad Yankee baseball had become in 1990....

But then something interesting came up during the interview....George said the Yankees were going into a new direction and HE decided that it was best for the organization that they start a new youth movement, but Mike and Russo just laughed at George as they both blistered the Yankees minor league system....George pointed out that this was the best way to go and that he will be patient and let the kids grow....Now at the that time he mentioned Kevin Maas and a few others and mentioned a kid by name of Bernie Williams was in AA....

My point is 99% of the credit went to Gene The Stick Michaels when George was suspended....But in reality George and his old lieutenants were one's responsible for starting the youth movement...

People on here blast George and give Gene Michaels all of he credit.....so George gave Michaels the orders to continue with the youth movement and some the Dynasty parts were constructed....

It is time to actually give credit to George.......

Check the interview out, pretty good stuff and Mike and Dog pummeled George during the entire interview....

Whether George wanted it or not... The suspension is what actually allowed it to happen... Let's face it... George loved Baseball and the Yankees... and most of all. Winning... and when the Yanks could not do it on their own, he always felt compelled to try to fix that... The problem was, he was too much of a fan to really be effective in the front office..

The suspension allowed stick to just do his job.. which he did quite well. Hard to tell if George had been able to meddle during that time, if he would have held off doing so.. Lord knows after they started winning, he proved that he couldn't keep his hands off...

My step brother use to date his niece. Was at a few family holiday parties with him. Worse in person than on the show. Total toolbag.

My deepest condolences. I didn't think it was possible for him to be any more insufferable than he already is.

Oh, he is. He talked over everyone. His opinion was always right, never wrong. Had first grabs of all the food, cried because he was blocked in and the person was in the bathroom that was blocking him.

Just to name a few. I could probably list another 100 but you get the idea.

    Same body shape and size!

Crispy Creme should just fade to black, like so many before him.

Christie is almost a sure bet to take that spot. WFAN probably figures they give him a co-host like Evan who he can lean on from time to time and there's your new Francesca. Not as much the arrogant piece of **** know it all but a guy who creates controversy by insulting callers and being a polarizing figure.
