You mean replacing Jeter as the face of baseball right?

Judge has been fantastic so far this year...but remind me when he's done it for five straight years.

Trout is still the face of baseball, for me.
Harper is close, but he's a "spoiled" cake eater.
Trouts play and attitude can speak to anyone, from any walk of life.
Judge can get there one day, no doubt. He's not there yet. 5 years of sustained production and he's done it.

Even as a Yankees fan I don't think so. He needs to do it for longer to be considered the face of baseball. To me, Trout is easily the face of baseball and it's not even close.
Trout and Harper imo

if Mike Trout played in NY it would be him
Lol, not yet.

I don't think hate matters. Whether you thought Jeter, Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, etc were the face at one point, all of them had haters.
Trout is different. He has no hate. Probably because he's hidden in Anaheim and they suck. Nobody cares. If he was a Yankee, he'd have plenty of hate.
pretty much, even with baseball revenue moving forward to record highs and teams having their on tv deals i doubt anyone from the west coast would become the face of baseball as wrong as it is in the current format. Also the best player in mlb doesnt necessary become the face of baseball unlike in other sports.
