Just overheard on KNBR they were talking about how Sabean had taken a significant backseat these past few years but at ownerships request he has been more involved and that they are not impressed with Evans. Could just be speculation. But they also suggested rethinking things in the offseason and dropping Evans and have Sabean retake the reigns again, which I doubt will happen.

Evans era has just not been a good one.

Indians looking to add another reliever today. I think Strickland would fit in well with Cleveland. A part of me doesn't want to trade him, though.

Kontons and Gearrin can go for free.

There is nothing wrong with panik. He's Gonna give you great defense and hit for average a .280 or .290 kinda guy. He's a keeper.

If the budget talk that ownership doesn't want to eat contracts and doesn't want to go in the luxury tax, whoever it is will be hamstrung on who and how they can trade

I agree but if they are going to hold onto the cheap controllable talent, not eat contracts and not go over the budget, we are in for some lean years as the cupboards are pretty bare.

I think we all know we're in for a handful of dreadful years ahead of us as Giants fans.

Yes, was a minor league free agent signing like a week before spring training began. Giants opted to give Neil Ramirez spot instead of him.
