Yea the claim that the left are the obstructionists is so amusing. Itís like those claiming it are pod people and just appeared on earth in 2017.

Please tell me how you all think that the GOP dealt with Obama? Did they roll over for him and confirm everyone he appointed?

They canít create a new paradigm for governance and then b**** when itís used against them. Cooperation was pretty strong in government, disagreements still existed, up until the GOP and Fox fanned the flames of the Tea Party and made it a problem that Obamaís was President.

I like this post and it makes me laugh. Stormy Daniels not only willingly had sex with Donald Trump, she agreed to take money to be quiet about it. one would think based on the coverage that she was forced to do something that she didn't consent to.

it's going to get worse. they hate everything Trump does. the more success Trump has the more it makes them unhinged and hate him more. look at some of the things that those on the left have said. Trump as President would kill the economy, tough talk with Kim Jong Un would lead to nuclear war, tax cuts would be absolutely terrible for America.

the anti-Trump movement seems to be getting dumber

20-30 years? How is that fat slob making it to 90-100? I recently saw him turn to the side and his profile looked like Alfred Hitchcock at the beginning of his old show. I love how he made his doctor say he's the healthiest U.S. President ever. That's so Trump.

The second sentence in your post is true.

Human health is trending towards longer life. It has nothing to do with him specifically but to do with how our lives are changing. I think most people born today will live to be 100 on average.

I saw a documentary mini-series recently were they were saying that in a few hundred years, human minds might be stored in computers and they will be immortal. Freaky stuff. Somebody should make a science fiction movie where that happens (if they haven't already).

Not a sci-fic fan are you? That has been a running story line in various shows and movies. Amazing how what is consider sci-fic now often turn into reality later. Look at the stuff on the first Star Trek and what we have now, it is truly amazing. I don't know if I am ready for AI computers, think of the jobs that will be lost, like PSD forum moderator

I am still waiting for my flying car, though.

Funny. I just posted a new thread in the Religion Forum about David Goddard, the 104-year-old Australian scientist who chose to avail himself of the assisted suicide program in Switzerland in order to end his life ("with dignity" he said) even though he suffered no terminal illness, other than being alive, I suppose.

I know many individuals and groups are vehemently opposed to such programs -- six US state have some form of "right to die" statutes in place, all, I believe, available only for those already about to die.

I am in favor of such programs, even so far as the Switzerland law allows.

I think it isn't about how long you live but the quality of life. If one can feel and look like a twenty year old at 100, more people will be for it.

In general, I like the old system of you aged then die so to make room for the young. Could you imagine someone like Stalin could be alive and functional into the hundreds? Population would be a major problem.

In Goddard's case, it was about his quality of life (he definitely did not feel like a twenty something).

Check me if I'm wrong, but I think we already have something of a population problem, in the other direction.

I hope the flying car thing never happens. There are enough accidents because of all the bad drivers. Imagine crashing and then falling from thousands of feet up. On the other hand, maybe there would be less accidents because in the air, the cars would be more spread out with more space to work with.
