Here is the Staten Island Yankees notebook on our pitching staff. A lot of good information in there from pitching coach Travis Phelps and Julio Mosquera, also an update on Drew Finley.

Pretty much anyone on the 40 man roster and maybe one who isn't depending on what happens with the appeals.

Well, the team would probably need another catcher, even if they have no thoughts about using him. Other than Higashioka who is hurt, There are 2 catchers on the AAA roster Wilkin Castillo, a 33 yr old switch hitter batting .179 and Eddy Rodriguez, a 31 year old catcher batting .174. They obvious can't hit to well, so maybe they can at least catch in an emergency.

no way they pass on this kid if he comes over, we'd be so loaded next yr if we got him and could keep Tanaka. still trying to figure out how they figure we could give him 8m though? anyone have any idea how they came up with that

Chris Hess is adjusting to the rigors of professional baseball, having already spent the 2017 season with the Staten Island Yankees, Charleston RiverDogs and Gulf Coast League Yankees.

another article on the Yankees and Otani http://nypost.com/2017/08/29/guide-t...ant-blow-away/ they mention the Dodgers being one of our biggest competition but i'm pretty sure they are still under penalty and can't sign anyone for over 300k this yr, though i'm not sure a 3=4 million difference in a signing bonus is going to make a huge difference to him

But would he go to the Dodgers for a little less because he can hit?
