    Scouting Report:
Giants: Blach pitched much better than his stat line indicated Tuesday night against the Royals, giving up seven earned runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings. The defense behind him missed a few tough-but-makeable plays.

Instead of W-L polls, we should start doing "Runs allowed" or "Runs scored".

In this series I'd guess we'll allow 25+ runs easily.

Looked like Span was safe at the plate in the ninth. Slater has been impressive.

They should an angle at the start of the bottom of the ninth that showed Holland hit Span in the foot before reaching home, unfortunately.

You got sick of watching the Dodgers choke in October so you became a Giants fan?

I'm convinced more than ever that if we want to get back quickly, the draft and prospects will take to long. Going to have to spend some big money in the FA market. Not the right way to do things but how many seasons like this will everyone put up with. I do see both sides of this coin though.

You make it sound like a Sunday afternoon prance through Kmart. If only it was that easy.

Giants already have one of the higher payrolls in baseball. Spending money on FA's for the sake of spending money ain't gonna do ****. Giants need to be more creative in trading, need to take some risks, need to risk making moves that may possibly anger fans.

We need top of lineup guys that get on base! We need middle of lineup guys that can move them along. We need legit power guys that can make a difference with one AB.
