So we will be 4-12 and have the first pick?

I think we will be more like 7-9 or better.

Fingers crossed we have the #1 pick
Don't think 4 wins will cut it though, thinking closer to 2 wins

Either have Petty or Hackenberg take significant steps this year to show they can lead this franchise or #SuckforDarnold

Otherwise stay the **** out of my face with 4, 5, or 6 wins.

If the Jets win 4.3 games in 2017, I will eat my own poop.

Totally agree. When was the last time a 4 win team got the first pick?

Vegas has our over/under for wins this year at 5. I'm considering putting some money on the under

    Win-win
If they suck, you make money, if they are good, they will be fun to watch.

glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks we won't suck quite that bad. Not that mediocre is a good thing. Just how I feel.

People talk the QB position this year, but I am more interested in how the secondary does than anything else. Look at some of the numbers the Jets defense, especially the secondary allowed:

    1) 30 passing TD's

    2) 52 plays of 20+ yards

    3) 8 INT's as a team

    4) 14 total turnovers for the entire season

Not saying paying attention toe QB battle isn't important, but if the secondary can't stop anyone, it will be that in large part why the Jets end up with a top 2 or 3 selection. I think there are more than a few games this season where the Jets offense could move the football and if the secondary plays well, they can win the game. If the secondary doesn't, it could be that reason more so than the QB as to why the Jets lose certain games. As I said in another thread, I could see the Jets losing a game say to New Orleans something like 34-27 where you sit back after the game is over and say, "the offense played really well; if only the secondary could have made a few stops against Drew Brees."

Does anyone really think the Jets can even LOSE correctly?

I'd put my money on them sucking all year - and looking like the 1st overall pick by Thanksgiving - and then suddenly going on some crazy winning streak. A winning steak that will put them just outside of getting one of the top 2 QB's (Darnold & Allen). 5-10 or 6-10... would be my guess.

Here is the thing though when you look at the Jets schedule-- Weeks 1-5 is @Buffalo, @Oakland, Miami, Jacksonville, @Cleveland. Would anyone be that shocked if the Jets were 3-2 after week 5? Plus, you get Buffalo at home again later on in the year, the Chargers, Carolina at home. I truly believe the Jets as a whole would have to come completely unglued to finish bad enough to be in the top 5 in next year's draft and with a break here or there, I can easily see them drafting outside the top-10 in next year's draft!

Yup. Exactly what I said as soon as the schedule was released. Pretenders early. Media acting like we HAVE TO change our expectation. Then crushing us when we start losing as they all predicted we would.
