took only 200 draws last year compared to 500 the year before. was over 50% in both though so he can play it if we have injuries down the middle.

He found a way out of the pit? I guess it was getting pretty full down there...

I know I'd trade him my job right now. In a second.

Training camp starts tomorrow. Can't wait to hear from the players.
“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

I guess some of the early stories will be about JVR with this being his walk yr.

Kapanen is ready but will he get a spot? There is some talk about him needing to have a great camp to make the opening night line up.

Kapanen should absolutely make this team. Third line with Kadri would be interesting, the kid has a nice 2 way game.

I Kapanen is trying LW in camp i believe too. Martin served a role last year but we really should have moved him and Leo this summer for roster spots.

    Marleau-Matthews-Nylander
    JvR-Bozak-Marner
    Kapanen-Kadri-Brown
    Hyman-Moore-Leivo
    Smith/Fehr

This would be a filthy forward group. Then you still have Rychel,Sosh, Johnsson if a winger goes down. Gauthier will be there eventually if a center does.

He'd be okay if we were still rebuilding or had no depth but when you have guys like Rychel, Leivo, Sosh who can kill penalties, skate, and grind it down low, you're making the team worse having a guy like Martin there.

We aren't really a small team and the cheapshot artists are all smaller guys usually these days anyways (Marchand,Gallagher etc..) and they won't fight Martin.

    i much prefer Martin/Leo over Smith/Fehr.

And Martin contributes a lot more at the end of the day than Rychel, Leivo, or Sosh.
Hockey is very different than other sports in that some aspects of the game are much harder to quantify with stats compared to basketball/baseball/football.

Leipsic made the Knights on the third line. interested to see how he does after being buried on the Marlies. Marlies are crazy deep once again.

I still really like Leipsic and I'd still prefer keeping him over Leivo and Rychel
