Kershaw did it 2 years ago.

The key is pitching a ton of innings. He needs to remain this efficient and pitch 230 innings or so. He put up 274 a couple years ago but he only pitched 208 innings. Kershaw pitched 232 innings and got 301, with a K9 slightly lower than Sale's current rate.

I've had Sale as a keeper on my fantasy team for like 5 years now. My buddy tries to trade for him every season. I jokingly almost gave him as a wedding gift to him two years ago at his wedding. I think he was more excited with that thought than he was that he just got married.

It'd be nice if the Sox could give him some run support.

    Can he? Yeah, absolutely.

Is he the most likely guy in baseball to do it? I'd go so far as probably, Kershaw not withstanding.

    Will he? No. Likely not.

At his current pace, he easily should. He'd have to keep the pace for about 25 more games. He's averaged 29.6 games since 2012 so he could do it.

I think he will do it.
