I really liked Friends since I was basically the comedic version of Chandler in school... but it's Seinfeld. The writing for the show is just better. I can't even begin to understand how they can come up with such convoluted episodes with such great comedic payoff so frequently.

I'd have Seinfeld as one of my top sitcoms ever (after King of Queens) and Friends would come in after Married with Children, All in the Family, King of the Hill, and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It's above Home Improvement, Frasier, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, That 70's Show, Just Shoot Me, Everybody Loves Raymond and Spin City.

Those are the main sitcoms I've watched over the years for reference.

If you aren't white then its understandable to have a disinterest in these shows.

If you are white then you need to watch these shows.

If you are offended by this post then More-Than-Most told me to say it.

King of Queens is mediocre at best.

I have watched far more episodes of friends than Seinfeld. I lean towards Friends for this reason

I've only met one other person who liked King of Queens as much as I do. For me nothing sums up a dudes perspective of marriage than King of Queens.

Not even close, the only answer is Seinfeld

I rewatched friends when Netflix bought the rights and it does't hold up at all. It's fine to have on in the background, but watching it again, when you aren't a kid, you realize its really terribly written, the characters never evolve and outside of Matthew Perry, the cast was largely not even very talented imo.

Seinfeld, although the quality dropped off the final 2 seasons after Larry David left.

I'm with you, almost. I've watched 20-25 episodes of Seinfeld in syndication, and probably a total of 10 minutes of Friends.

Pretty sure I hate most sitcoms, so not just these two.

I enjoy both shows. I'll have to rewatch Seinfeld soon, but no other show has made me laugh like Friends.
