Pretty ridiculous. That is the problem with baseball and why #'s are down. People don't watch baseball as much because it's boring as hell. I've been a huge Cubs supporter but even this year I probably watched fewer games than I ever have. The NBA is the same way, I don't care about regular season anymore.

Yes, the "problem" with baseball is that all fans don't jizz themselves over a flashy, ill conceived play.

I mean, one of them - yeah for sure.

There was nothing ill conceived about it. He could either make the play as designed or he couldn't. He could; did. It was cool. Cool things are fun. Baseball could use more cool things.

I really don't see what was so "cool" about the play honestly (or why it's become such a talking point).

Ok well, there's like three pages worth of explanation within this thread alone.

Flash isn't for everyone. No one's insisting you need to be a fan of it, also no reason to take such issue with those who do enjoy it, though.

At no point have I taken issue with those who enjoyed it. The play and the whole conversation about the play is a big "whatever" to me and I've been consistent in stating as much.

Seems like a real good time for that dude to watch the least amount of Cubs games he ever has.

He can be a hot dog, but he makes all the plays. His swim move to avoid the tag at 3B last night was amazing.

Foolhardy. What if he'd been tagged out?!

Then why continue to take part in the discussion?

Javy can keep doing what he does. But at some point it'll cost us a game. Regular season, probably not a big deal, but if he does this **** in post season play it may not turn out well. I think that since this is mainly an exhibition he is just having fun.

Yeah I'll be honest I'm not all that worried about Baez's flare causing too many problems in October.

    For any number of reasons.

Dude seriously, just let Javy be Javy. His instincts are nonpareil.
