The Official 2017 Spring Training Thread

I'n somewhat new to these boards. Obviously a Yankee fan. Decided to start a Spring Training thread with our first game starting today. Below is our 2017 Spring Training schedule. Game talk, news, ect. can be talked here. If this is either in the wrong spot to post this or a mod needs to pin this thread somewhere, please do so. Just saw other teams have spring training threads and decided to start one for our team.

dunno why Judge is batting 9th. Think you would move him and get him 2 or 3 at bats and then take him out

It's only the first game. He's still young. This is the game where everyone plays about 2-3 innings anyways before the prospects get the majority of playing time.

First thing is, Jaysus!!! The HR from Judge was absurd That was crushed.

Second, we scored two runs today on one past ball. Andujar on third and Torres on second. Torres scored from second on it. Gotta love young aggressive legs.

The passed ball bounced almost passed the first base dugout in foul territory. There should be no reason why those 2 shouldn't have scored easily.

And you think Tex or Arod or Headley or McCann or Sanchez or Romine would have scored? Do you think Bird would have scored? Judge?
I actually wonder if Els or Gardner would have scored. They run scared at this point. Els fear of injury, Gardner fear of mistake.

I paid Torres a compliment for heads up aggressive base running and you respond with negativity.

They all would have scored on that pass ball. I was just saying there should be no reason why anyone should be thrown out with how far the ball bounced away. Great hustle all around.

Right on . I see what you were saying.
I looked at it again and both the first baseman and the catcher, jogged towards the ball. To me that suggests they didn't anticipate Torres trying to score from second.
There was also a play at the plate. A guy who gets less of a jump or doesn't get to third quickly or who isn't as quick, would have been out.
Pardon my enthusiasm. It's just so nice to see players that are capable and have desire.

Yes he does! Frazier also has a very quick bat. Good to finally see some live BB!
