Well Garappolo is still on his rookie deal. Brock guarantees go away after this season. Would be able to cut Brock next offseason and use that money to resign Garappolo to a large deal.

Don't see it happening but it would work cap wise.

They are starting negotiations at Watt/Clowney/Hopkins/1st for Jimmy G/4th

Carson, trust me, even if you turn out to be a really bad QB, BDawk4Prez will always defend you on PSD.

Not enough. The Pats also want the next 10 years of first round picks from the Texans.

As explained above, it works out great I think. The Texans are stuck paying Brock this year but Jimmy G is so cheap that it cancels out. Then next year when they have to pay Jimmy G they'll be able to move on from Brock to create the space.

Obviously this is all predicated on them liking him enough but overall I think they make for a great trade partner.

Kendricks only played 26.79% of defensive snaps last year, partly because we played so much nickel but also because he essentially had his job taken by Nigel Bradham who is a lot more comfortable in Schwartz' scheme. His cap hit is too high for what is essentially a backup LB, so I expect him to be cut or traded. (But his cap saving wouldn't be high which is why I didn't list him above.) In the same vein, Bradham could be due for an extension, potentially reducing his 2017 cap hit.

Victor Cruz's NFL career is certainly not over. The cap hit made him an easy cut for the Giants, though. If he was slated to make $3 million this year instead of $9.6 million, he absolutely would have been kept.

He can still be a serviceable 3rd option, and don't forget, this is his first fully healthy, non-rehab off season yet in 2 years. He might not be an 80+ catch guy anymore, but he can still provide a veteran presence for a contending team.

Either way, his career has been a great story, and the Giants don't have that 2011 Lombardi trophy without him.

I'd like to see Cruz in Denver. Interesting slot option and we need a third receiver bad.

At least I don't have to worry about any more salsa dances in the NFC East.
