Where do Avs player end up?

Avs are pitiful... and Sakic has said everyone not named MacK, Rantanen and Tyson Jost are untouchable. He also said he wants to get younger and faster.

They have some good young players and some alright to terrible veterans. What's your forecast to how they play it out? To who and for what?

I'd love to see Landeskog on the Flames but I doubt we'll move what it would take. I'll take a stab in the dark though and say I can see one of him or Duchene going to the Habs for something along the lines of Sergachev, Juulsen, 2017 1st, Deshairnais (cap dump). Avs would get two good young players and a 1st essentially.

Probably no where, the salary cap has killed player movement because of the NTC.

I think Carolina is a perfect fit as a trade partner with Colorado. The Canes have a bunch of solid young D men and could use a Centre like Duchene. Or a winger like Landeskog.

I think they'll unload one of Landeskog/Duchene either at the deadline or on draft day.

Iggy is 100% being traded by the deadline

Avs buyout Soderberg when no one is willing to take him

There going to do everything they can to build for next year.

I'd be reluctant to give up Sergachev, Juulsen and a 1st (I love prospects) but I'd also love to see Landeskog or Duchene in a Hab uniform. I would be ok with it even though I'd be upset at the same time lol

Going to the Spitfires game on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing Sergachev live.

With the amount of cap we have potentially this offseason I would be surprised if Landy and Duchene are traded. The deals would be too good to pass up.

Varly should be dealt. Not sure anyone will look to take him but I can't believe he is as bad as he shows. The defense without Johnson is terrible.

Which is saying something, because Erik Johnson isn't all that great either. They definitely missed him though.

I think Iginla gets traded for sure, and Duchene on top as well. I still think they traded the wrong guy to Buffalo. ROR is a valuable asset to any team and almost a must-have type player.

Tyutin, Mitchell, Soderberg, Comeau, Colborne, and Beauchemin will all draw some interest, but will be gone for cheap.

They might do an Edmonton over pay one of the kids for D. Personally the hall trade is the best they can hope for. I can see Montreal move some D for Duchene

There is something in the water that's vile in Colorado. Why are so many guys under-performing? Landeskog, Soderberg, Mitchell (he's been a steady producer for his role), Colborne, Comeau.... Feels like everyone other than Duchene and McKinnon is not producing.

"Elite" is just another way to spell "Brad Marchand"

Iginla will be dealt although he isn't anything more than a power play specialist. He is such a liability 5 on 5 its sad.

It is easy to say Ryan O'Reilly should of been kept. But it would of meant Tyson wouldn't be resigned and getting Mackinnon to a long term deal would of been hard too. As of now it hasn't worked out.

Lot of rumors out there Carolina can be in the bidding if Colorado wants young prospects.

Landeskog has been absolutely brutal. His game has regressed on both ends. He looks lost. He doesn't produce when on a line with either Mackinnon or Duchene. Soderberg plays with guys who are washed up like Jarome and Bourque. Speed on our bottom 6 is sad. Mitchell has played better than points indicate as well as Blake Comeau.

Has Joe Colbourne scored since his opening night hat trick?

Nope. Bednar is comfortable leaving him on the 4th line or a healthy scratch.

I couldn't stand Colbourne in Calgary.

What's going on with Landeskog though tp? Just a product of the environment or his he actually declining?

You know something was up when Roy said nope and just left.

Basically too many "stars" not enough workers probably boys club dressing room and not a very good D. They picked too many similar players in the draft.

But like you said teams will come a knocking, Sakic will be demanding a lot, but hopefully he realizes he has a mess on his hands and he will need to do something to change the room at least
