    Interest in MLB auction redraft?

With a couple months left until real baseball starts, I figured that we could try another game here on PSD, and turn an MLB redraft into an auction-style game. I am reviewing the rules for both the auction/draft hybrid that we did in the NBA forum this past summer, and the full NFL redraft auction that was conducted back in 2015. Personally, I would want to do the full auction, but I would leave that open to the participants.

Speaking of participants, I would like to get at least 16, but would take more if we could get them. Cap space would be dependent on how many teams we get, regardless of how we run the auction process. I would also like at least one co-commissioner, if not two, to help process bids and keep things organized, since I do not have a set work schedule. It would be ideal to at least have someone on who can access a computer from 9-5, and someone who has more late night availability as well.

Any questions or feedback is welcomed.

I would defend my title in the same capacity of joining a team and doing very little work.

A normal redraft on PSD consists of a fantasy style snake draft with a cap, and the goal is to draft (and trade) to create the best team possible. We vote on the playoff teams, and then the main forum votes for the playoffs- who do they think would win a playoff series against the two teams put against each other.

For an auction, we would still have a cap, but no draft. What I envision is every team being able to start bids for up to five players in a 24 hour period, and only having a certain number of bids open at a time. This would allow everyone to have a chance at Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw, instead of just the person who gets the #1 pick.

There's more rules we would have, but this is the gist of it. And I am willing to hear feedback for how the draft should work as well. Though we do need more people to step up and do this.
