I would have thought Cease would be higher as well.

If Cease had done what he's done at Myrtle instead he would be.

I have to say, I kind of don't like Happ's swing and it looks like he's starting to slip, before the draft, which usually injects a few more names in the top 50. Scouts seem to remain really skeptical.

Guess so. Actually BA wasn't as high on him as some. MLB Pipeline has him at 77 prior to the season. BA had him at 97.

Yeah, it is. He's been skeptical at C for a long while, going back to his draft day where many services thought he was better served at 3b, and not C.

I'd be surprised if he becomes a long term C at the MLB level.

Is Zack Short someone worth keeping an eye on? He seems to have a nice approach, makes good contact and has a little power. He is getting ready to turn 22 though, so he's a bit old for his level.

A distant eye maybe. He's not young, wasn't a high pick, doesn't have a body that you can see him growing into or anything. The approach seems good, though. I wouldn't write him off as nothing, but I don't see anything here to suggest MLB starting potential, either. Maybe a bench guy. Useful, but nothing special.

Want a player to watch that hasn't gotten any mentions here yet

Michael Rucker has a 40:1 KBB over his first 25 pro innings and a cool 22:0 over his first 12 at South Bend this year

Happ at 55 is ridiculous IMO.

Not saying the guy should be in the top 10 or 20 but I dont think hes far off.

Its not like hes 24 or 25 killing AAA. Kid is still 22 and will be a majority of the season.

He has too much offensive potential and hes way too versatile to be ranked 55.
