Wow, seems like every year I never get my guy in the draft.

2013 - Coulda had my guy Deandre Hopkins
2014 - Coulda had my guy Aaron Donald
2015 - Coulda had my guy Marcus Peters
2016 - Coulda had my guy Cody Whitehair

I don't understand why Rick even has a job at this point. Someone give me 1 offensive player he has drafted besides Stefon Diggs in the last 5 years that is worth anything.

This signiture sucks but I get my point across, I'll pay someone for something more legit! Go Vikes!

coulda had Hopkins- if we had, we'd have had to move up possibly another spot or two to still get Rhodes
coulda had Donald- we wouldn't have Barr
coulda had Peters- well, yeah, we chose Waynes...we really don't know yet there IMO
coulda had Whitehair- again we don't know, we went with Alexander and I still think that was a great pick..likely find out more this year

Vikings haven't CHOSEN that many offensive players while they've built up a top defense.
Treadwell may yet be the guy you think...damn, that was a great pick

Whoever was talking up James Conner- the more I find out about him, the more I want him.
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

Saw him on NFL network last night...beating cancer is enough reason to root for him, but he just seems a great kid.........then add to it his answer to the question 'Would you rather run through someone or around them?' And he basically smirked and said through them, every time.

He's the perfect short yardage and goal line back. You gotta check out his stiff arm if you haven't already. It's his signature move. Not sure how well it will translate to the pros but I think he's going to be a very solid pro player.

I used Draft Wire (Updated 03/16/17) for this latest Mock Draft:

    48. OT Taylor Moton
    79. RB D'Onta Foreman (Mixon was off the board)
    86. C/G Ethan Pocic
    120. LB Kendell Beckwith
    128. DT Dalvin Tomlinson
    160. OC Tyler Orlosky
    199. QB Chad Kelly
    232. OG Kyle Kalis

Ramczyk, Lamp, Robinson and Feeney all went in the bottom half of the first round in that order.

Replace Foreman with almost any other RB in this draft and I would be very happy with this.

I don't know how to feel about Foreman. The games I watched him play he was very productive but I've read a lot of negative criticism about his style of play. I fixed it for you!

The problem with Foreman is he doesn't run like a 233 pound back. He lacks explosion and doesn't break through tackles or drag anybody. A guy his size should be a wrecking ball. The Big 12 plays zero defense so I try to look past his stats. I hope we stay far away from him. He's likely a 2nd or 3rd rounder from what I've been reading but I would take Conner in the 4th/5th over Foreman everyday of the week and twice on Sundays!

Why do I see Brian Hill all over the place on mocks....from 3rd to 6th round, from top 10 RB to barely top 20

This is why I like to keep all of our picks. Would absolutely love this haul. Desmond King is a ball hawk and could be a starter opposite Smith down the road. Feeney competes with Sirles but my guess wins it. ElFlein may not start year 1 but most likely is our year 2 guy. Butt and Conner would be awesome as well.

    47: R2P15 G DAN FEENEY
    78: R3P14 S DESMOND KING
    86: R3P22 C PAT ELFLEIN
    122: R4P15 TE JAKE BUT
    129: R4P22 RB JAMES CONNER

Jordan Reid (he writes for the vikingsage.com) did a mock draft for the Vikings:

    2: Dan Feeney G Indiana
3: Pat Elflein C Ohio State
    3: Howard Wilson CB Houston
    4: Ar'Darius Stewart WR Alabama
    4: Duke Riley LB LSU
5: TJ Logan RB North Carolina
    6: Cole Hikutini TE Louisville
    7: Josh Dobbs QB Tennessee

If you guys have twitter I suggest following him. Football junkie who is always posting about the Vikings.
